At college I founded and chaired the Medical Debating Society and in doing so was involved with tutoring students on medical school applications. I am represented by My Tutor Web, an online tutoring agency tutoring GCSE maths and sciences. I am also looking forward to mentoring a group of first year medical students throughout the upcoming autumn term as part of the UCL transition mentor scheme. I have previous tutoring experience on an informal basis and also have a year’s classroom experience from working in a school for disabled children.
A Levels – Biology A*, Maths A, Chemistry A
AS Levels – History A
GCSEs – 10A*s, 1A
My Approach To Private Tuition
I have always had a passion for learning, critical thinking and problem solving. Yet above all I like to help others along their educational journey and can relate to the stresses and joys it brings. As a medical student I am confident in tutoring Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Studying at UCL has given me skills such as excellent communication, essay writing and organisation.
My approach to tutoring is centered around the student and tailored to their style of learning. I employ a number of tools including videos and past papers to help bring teaching sessions to life. Above all I aim for us to work together to tackle new challenges and put new concepts into context. I can recall the difficulties that come with studying for GCSEs and A Levels, so feel it's important to teach useful study and exam techniques.
As a fun and dedicated individual, with experience of personal mentoring and a strong academic history, I would make an excellent and supportive tutor for students of any age.
Before starting school I travelled America for 18 months in a campervan with my family!
