My Approach To Private Tuition
My approach to teaching lies centred around the fact that not too long ago I was in school myself. This gives me an invaluable insight in to how the education system works and the exact things you need to do in order to pass exams. All too often, acing your GCSEs and A Levels requires an understanding of the types of questions that will turn up in exams and it is my hope that I will be able to share this knowledge.
Planning is an essential process of any tutoring session, ensuring that each topic is tailored especially for you. In this way, it can be much easier to understand complex principals and gain an understanding of key topics. I choose to start my session with starter exercises that gradually ease the tutee in before explaining the main topics. This approach allows the tutee to gain confidence first before tackling the truly hard areas. At the end of each session, I aim to go through a couple of exam questions to reinforce what has been learnt.
Each session is tailored towards the tutee’s own needs. I am appreciative of the fact that there are different styles of learning and aim to incorporate these into a learning plan that will work best for you… And hopefully bring good results!
Although I study medicine I would also love to be a writer. I am constantly dreaming and try to find time to write every week. With all the studying we have, I’m always getting distracted… But I do have a blog that I kept up to date throughout my gap year.
